COMMITTED TO CUTTING CRIME
- The crisis in public safety
is clear: Dallas violent
crime is 2X the national
average, murder rates are
3X the national average,
and car theft is 4X the
national average. 69% of
Dallas residents don't feel
safe at night. - Current reality: You are
twice as likely to be
robbed in Dallas than in
Chicago. This is
unacceptable and must
change. - Short staffing results in
increased and
unacceptable response
time from a police force
working exhaustive hours.
Newly implemented on line
only crime reporting can
be frustrating and
unsatisfactory. A sense of
the victim’s futility leads to
underreported crime and
inaccurate data. - Every night, 400 Dallas
teenagers are trafficked. I'll
fight for increased
resources to protect our
youth and strengthen law
enforcement's ability to
combat trafficking
networks. - As your representative, I
will work to fix this broken
system by seeing that tax
dollars are wisely
deployed.
- Your voice matters. When
95% of a neighborhood
opposes zoning changes,
their council representative
should listen. I'll be an
advocate for residents, not
special interests. - I'll protect the unique
character of our
neighborhoods while
supporting smart,
community-driven
development that
enhances property values
and quality of life. - I want to be your
representative at City Hall.
I want to hear from you
and I will be responsive to
your needs.
PrEserve Residential zoning
fiscal
accountability
- The city's budget has
grown by over 5% annually
for the past decade, while
basic services have
declined. The over $100
million spending increase
has created bureaucratic
bloat with 25+ new
departments and
programs. - Our city faces serious
financial challenges: a
projected $40 million
annual budget deficit.
Moody's recent credit
outlook downgrade from
“stable” to "negative"
signals the urgent need for
change. - District 13’s street
conditions are rated “poor”,
while your tax dollars are
diverted to questionable
expenditures:- Hundreds of millions on
"affordable" private
housing with 75 years
tax exemptions - Over $6 million to count
trees on city property - 100's of thousands spent
on art installation for
dogs - Travel junket for council
members and staff to
ride the bullet train in
Japan
- Hundreds of millions on
- I’ll demand thorough
oversight of city spending
and redirect resources to
essential services that
matter to residents.
